Vacancies for Councillors on Berwick-upon-Tweed Town Council - co-option

Notices concerning recent vacancies on the following wards have been published via the usual methods.

Magdalene Ward
St Boisil Ward x 2

No requests have been received for an election to fill the vacancies.

Council will consider applications for co-option to fill the vacancies.

Each applicant should provide a 3 minute video statement or a 500 words written statement explaining their vision for Berwick, why they would like to be a Town Councillor and what skills and experience they will bring to the Council.
It would be helpful if applicants indicated which Ward they wish to stand for.

This should be sent to town.clerk@berwick-tc.gov.uk by no later than midday on Friday 14 July 2023.

The statements will be considered by Councillors at the meeting of Council on Monday 24 July 2023.

The Council will then hold a ballot or ballots, as required, and will resolve to co-opt the successful candidate.
