Make Berwick Beautiful - Floral Competition for Berwick-upon Tweed

Working closely together, Berwick in Bloom and Berwick-upon-Tweed Town Council would like to invite you/your business to take part in a competition for the ‘Best Outside Floral Display'.  As it is the Queen's 90th Birthday this year, we thought it could be Berwick-upon-Tweed's own contribution to this anniversary and a celebration of her long and eventful reign.  We could make our town look really beautiful for her 90th year.

Berwick-upon-Tweed Town Council and Berwick in Bloom are inviting all businesses to enter the ‘Make Berwick Beautiful' competition.  Entry to the competition is FREE with the winners from each category awarded a framed certificate.  The overall winner will be presented with the Berwick Floral Cup which will have the business/name engraved upon it and will be held for a year.  Entry can only be in ONE of the four categories.

1. Accommodation Providers, 2. Licensed Premises Only, 3. Shops, 4. Cafes/Restaurants.

Entries will be individual properties which include one or more of the following, hanging baskets, tubs, containers or window boxes.  NB. Each entry will only be accepted in one category.

Please call the Town Council on 01289 302391 or email town.clerk@berwick-tc.gov.uk for an entry form / enquiries, or downloadby clicking here and post / email all completed forms to the Town Council Office, 5 The Chandlery, Berwick-upon-Tweed, TD15 1HE.   The closing date for applications is March 18th, 2016.

Displays will be judged at the beginning of July 2016 by the Mayor of Berwick upon Tweed or his/her representative and a member of the Berwick in Bloom group.

The best overall winner from the four categories will be judged by an independent expert.  Results will be posted or emailed to all entrants.

A Presentation Evening will take place on Monday, 15th August 2016 at 6pm at the Town Hall.
