Interim Town Clerk

Berwick-upon-Tweed Town Council is looking for an interim Town Clerk for about six months while it reviews options for a long-term appointment.
The Town Clerk post has in the past been full-time. The interim post will be part-time: 20 hours a week over 2½ days. It will focus on the day-to-day operational requirements of the job, and clerking of Council and committee meetings (about 40 a year). The town has 16 councillors representing a population of some 11,500.
The interim Clerk will be based in the Council's offices in Berwick and supported by two officers: one full-time and one part-time. Remuneration will be based on an hourly rate of £15.00.
