Councillor Hill's Clerk complaint: no case to answer

Following a Staffing Committee meeting on 7 July, Berwick-upon-Tweed Town Council issued the following statement:

An independent and comprehensive investigation into a complaint made by Councillor Georgina Hill against Berwick-upon-Tweed Town Clerk Sue Finch, has concluded that there is no case to answer.

Berwick-upon-Tweed Town Council is entirely satisfied that Ms Finch has acted appropriately and professionally in her role at all times.

Councillor Hill's public comments in connection with the confidential internal investigation and confidential outcome report are her own, and do not reflect the views of the Town Council.
