ADMINISTRATIVE ASSISTANT (2 posts available)
Berwick-upon-Tweed Town Council has a vacancy for two part-time (15 - 20 hours per week) Administrative Assistants. This is an exciting time to join the team as the Council strives to be a forward-thinking and outward-looking organisation working with and being accountable to the citizens of Berwick, Spittal and Tweedmouth to bring about positive change.
The Administrative Assistants will provide a high quality comprehensive administrative and clerical service and will contribute to the achievement of the Council’s objectives, along with effectively assisting with the delivery of a broad range of the Council’s services, developing good practice and promoting the Council’s activities across all areas of operation using technology, as necessary.
Hours of Work - As required Monday to Friday but must be prepared to
work out of office hours in order to attend Council meetings,
Council business and civic functions.
Salary – (SCP Range 5 – 9) (£10.21 - £11.05 per hour)
plus generous annual leave and membership of NEST pension scheme

TOWN WARDEN
37 hours per week
Berwick-upon-Tweed Town Council has a vacancy for a full time Town Warden. This is an exciting time to join the team as the Council strives to be a forward-thinking and outward-looking organisation working with and being accountable to the citizens of Berwick, Spittal and Tweedmouth to bring about positive change.
The Town Warden will be expected to lead and co-ordinate the Town Warden team and ensure the effective delivery of a wide range of street scene related activities on land owned and maintained by the Council and to lead the staff in the provision of an efficient, high quality, skilled maintenance of the grounds, parks, and open spaces.
Hours of Work - As required Monday to Friday but must be prepared to
work out of office hours in order to attend Council meetings,
Council business and civic functions.
Salary – (SCP Range 9 – 13) £21,269 - £23,023
plus generous annual leave and membership of NEST pension scheme

Berwick-upon-Tweed Town Council has a vacancy for two full time Assistant Town Wardens. This is an exciting time to join the team as the Council strives to be a forward-thinking and outward-looking organisation working with and being accountable to the citizens of Berwick, Spittal and Tweedmouth to bring about positive change.
The Assistant Town Wardens will be expected to deliver a wide range of streetscene and horticultural related activities on land owned and maintained by the Council and its clients, and to provide an efficient, high quality, skilled maintenance of the grounds, parks, and open spaces.
Hours of Work - As required Monday to Friday but must be prepared to
work out of office hours in order to attend Council meetings,
Council business and civic functions.
Salary – (SCP Range 3 – 6) £18,887 - £20,043
plus generous annual leave and membership of NEST pension scheme
