BERWICK CHRISTMAS LIGHTS SWITCH ON AND LATE-NIGHT SHOPPING ON FRIDAY 29 NOVEMBER 2024
This year, Berwick-upon-Tweed Town Hall Christmas lights switch-on will take place on Friday, 29th November, and promises to be a magical evening filled with music, lights, and community spirit.
Join us as we celebrate the season with a host of festive activities:
- 3:45 PM - The stirring sound of bagpipes will kick off the festivities.
- 4:00 PM - A special appearance from the Maltings pantomime characters, complete with enchanting salmon lanterns.
- 4:10 PM - The Berwick Community Choir will sing a selection of Christmas songs, inviting everyone to sing along
- 4:20 PM - The Mayor will deliver a warm festive welcome.
- 4:35 PM - The Blessing of the Lights
- 4:40 PM - Lights switch-on!
- 4:45 PM - More heartwarming songs from the choir.
- 5:00 PM - The evening ends on a high note with the ringing of the town bells.
From 4:00 PM to 7:00 PM, soak up the festive atmosphere while supporting our wonderful local businesses, which will be open for late-night shopping. It’s the perfect opportunity to find unique gifts and treasures for everyone on your list.
