Town Council Vacancies on Grove Ward and Magdalene Ward

Notices concerning recent vacancies on Grove Ward and Magdalene Ward have been published via the usual methods.

No requests have been received for an election to fill the vacancies.

Council will consider applications for co-option to fill the vacancies.

Each applicant should provide a 3 minute video statement or a 500 words written statement explaining their vision for Berwick.

This should be sent to the Town Clerk at town.clerk@berwick-tc.gov.uk by no later than midday on Friday 13 August 2021.

The statements will be considered by Councillors at the meeting of Council on Tuesday, 23 August 2021.

The Council will then hold a ballot or ballots, as required, and will resolve to co-opt the successful candidate.

As there are vacancies for Grove Ward and Magdalene Ward, if an applicant is interested in only one particular Ward, it would be a great help if this is indicated within the statement.
